St John’s congregation is the focus for Uniting Church life for Phillip Island and San Remo.
St John’s Uniting Church based in Cowes Phillip Island, is located in one of the major holiday destinations of the State; home to the world famous Penguin Parade and the equally famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. No small wonder that holidaymakers feature significantly in the life of our congregation.The same can be said for retirees who often choose to live in one of the fastest growing municipalities around, bringing their energy, talents and a willingness to contribute in a new community. We believe each person has spiritual gifts, a unique personality and a distinct destiny in God’s unfolding plan.
All are welcome to our worship; normal Sunday 10 am, Good Friday and Christmas Day are 9 am.
The church is in central Cowes on Phillip Island on the corner of Warley Avenue and Chapel Street. We are also moving towards a shared ministry with the Anglican Church in San Remo, more details later.
