Get involved with your local surf Club.

Woolamai Beach Surf Lifesaving are proud of the vital rescue service that we provide to the beach, and equally proud to be developing tomorrow’s young lifesavers through our nipper’s program.

Our club has more than 1000 members and new members are always welcome. Come join us on Phillip Island – either as a nipper, a patrolling member, or as a volunteer to help support our service.

Woolamai beach Surf Lifesaving Club provides voluntary patrols on weekends at Woolamai Beach and Smiths Beach from November to April each year. Complete your Bronze Medallion this year and join in for some summer fun.

Surf Sports are the ideal tool to develop members skills and fitness.

Getting involved in competition and training encourages fun and enjoyment amongst our members, whilst also providing a sense of challenge and achievement.

Woolamai Beach Surf Lifesaving Club – Junior Activities, or “Nippers” as it is more commonly known, is a great way to introduce your child to surf live saving, offering a program of surf awareness, skills coaching and competition.

There are so many ways to be involved with the Woolamai Beach Surf Lifesaving Club

Woolamai Beach Surf Lifesaving Club is very pleased to announce that a mobility chair will be available, free of charge, to members of the public from the Smiths Beach Rescue Base on every day of the Lifesaving/Lifeguard season that the Smiths Beach Rescue Base is manned. (details of the dates will be released closer to the start of the season)

The Smiths Beach Rescue base mobility chair was an initiative of the Woolamai Beach Surf Life Saving Board and was part-funded by a Bass Coast Shire Council grant
