Phillip Island residents and tourists facing life-threatening medical emergencies will benefit from a new 24-hour ambulance station in Cowes.
‘Phillip Island Ambulance Station is a 24-hour ambulance station in Cowes operating with 17 staff.
For nearly a century, Phillip Island, with its beautiful views, beaches and abundant wildlife, has been drawing huge crowds in summer and for special events such as motorsport,’ Minister for Health David Davis said to cater for both the growing resident population and the tourists who come to enjoy your beautiful home, the Victorian Government committed to upgrade the Cowes ambulance branch to operate 24-hours and provide a new building for paramedics.‘
Mr Davis also paid tribute to the longstanding and dedicated work of the ambulance auxiliary volunteers in Cowes.
This facility is needed to provide equipment and support for this lifesaving service.
